E-commerce engineering

Engineering for effective e-commerce.

We design, integrate and optimize the technology behind online sales. The goal isn't technology for its own sake, but higher conversion, more automation, smoother transactions and a faster, more stable and scalable system.

Architecture

E-commerce is more than an online store

The website is just one layer. Sales performance also depends on transactions, payments, subscriptions, integrations, automation, infrastructure and data. We work across all of these layers and connect them according to the client's business model.

Business model
  • Storefront

The sales interface and the customer's shopping experience.

    • React
    • Next.js
    • WooCommerce
  • Commerce engine

Products, cart, checkout, payments, orders and subscriptions.

    • WooCommerce
    • Checkout
    • Orders
    • Subscriptions
  • Data and integrations

Data exchange with the systems the company runs on.

    • CRM
    • ERP
    • Payments
    • REST API
  • Infrastructure

The foundation that the performance, stability and security of the whole system depend on.

Expertise

Expertise that works as one system

A business requirement passes through architecture, implementation, integrations, infrastructure and testing before it reaches production. We work along that entire path.

  • When a plugin isn't enough

    E-commerce business logic

A mature store rarely fits the standard behavior of plugins. We implement custom purchase processes, custom checkout, pricing logic, product and service configuration, business rules and process automation.

    Integrations and APIs

We connect the store with the systems the company runs on and with custom APIs. Data flows automatically, without moving it by hand between systems.

  • Technology chosen to fit the requirements

A full stack chosen to fit the requirements

A broad range of technologies lets us choose and combine tools to fit the architecture and business requirements, instead of forcing every problem into one stack.

  • DevOps in-house

    DevOps and infrastructure

Performance and reliability don't end with application code. We configure servers and production environments, deployments, CI/CD and caching, and diagnose infrastructure issues.

  • Part of the process, not an add-on

    Security

WordPress hardening, permissions, an update and dependency strategy, server configuration and secure integrations reduce the attack surface of the production environment.

    Testing

Automated tests and a staging environment reduce the risk of regressions when we develop a live system.

    Maintenance and stability

The work doesn't end at launch. Updates, monitoring, troubleshooting, performance optimization and further development keep the system running reliably.

Founder · Software Engineer

ForeachURL is run by Tomasz Kowalski, a developer who builds, develops and maintains web applications and e-commerce platforms for projects in Poland and abroad.

He specializes in WordPress, WooCommerce, object-oriented PHP and API integrations. He combines backend (PHP, Node.js, SQL) with frontend (JavaScript, React, Next.js) and also works with infrastructure and production environments.

The whole project lifecycle

  2. Architecture
  3. Implementation
  4. Testing
  5. Implementation
  6. Maintenance

Experience from analysis to maintenance makes it possible to judge technical decisions not only by the code, but also by business requirements, maintenance, infrastructure and deployment risk.

Engagement model

A core engineering team and a network of trusted specialists

One core engineering team is responsible for the architecture and technical accountability. On larger projects, proven specialists join it, and everything remains centrally coordinated.

  • Core engineering team

Architecture, key technical decisions and responsibility for quality.

  • Specialist network

Proven collaborators brought into the project as needed.

  • Flexible delivery scale

A senior engineer on the project, with the capacity for larger deployments.

  • Scaling the team when the project needs it
  • Capacity for larger deployments
  • Specialists in additional fields
  • Parallel work on different parts of the system
  • Shorter delivery times where the technology allows
  • Direct contact with a senior engineer, without an unnecessary organizational layer
Process

From requirements to production

Every change follows the same path, so developing a live system stays predictable.

  1. Analysis

Business requirements, the existing architecture and technical constraints.

  2. Architecture

Technology choices, integration strategy and delivery plan.

  3. Implementation

    Development to agreed engineering standards.

  4. Testing

Automated tests and verification on a staging environment.

  5. Implementation

    A controlled production release.

  6. Development

Monitoring, optimization, maintenance and further development.
